A spectacular set of four conjoined maps taken from "Table des Cartes des Paysbas et des Frontieres de France. Aven un Recueil des Plans de Villes, seiges et Battailles Donnees entre les Hauts Allies et la France" (Table of Maps of the Netherlands and the borders of France. With a series of City Plans, Sieges and Battle Data between the Senior Allies and France), engraved by du Roy.
Measuring 110cm x 86cm, these 4 conjoined maps show the English South Eastern coastline of Kent and the south of Essex with the River Thames tributory and then the coastline of France up from Ambleteuse, Tardinghen, Escalles, Calais, Dunkirk and up to Veurne in Belgium. Decorated with British and French Naval Battle ships, a large stunning Compass Rose and very early hand colouring.
This is an exceptionally rare & important conjoined set of maps and will look specacular once mounted and framed.
