This edition of the map was printed to publicise the opening part of the eastward extension of the Central Line from Liverpool Street to Stratford on December 4th 1946. The sheet also includes a plan showing the future extension to West Ruislip and Ongar. The reverse side includes a geographically accurate map of all the eastward extensions, complete and under construction.
