1868 Huge Panoramic engraving Birds-eye view of EDINBURGH Scotland Thomas Sulman

1868 A fine original antique panoramic print published for The Illustrated London News titled "EDINBURGH".

A stunning and spectacular Panoramic antique Birds-eye view of EDINBURGH, dated july 18th, 1868 from an original drawing by Thomas Sulman. Sulman was a student and later engraved for Dante Gabriel Rossetti. He became a specialist in using hot air balloons to produce birds-eye views of cities including London, Oxford, Glasgow and New York.  

Overall size of print is 130cm x 57cm (51.5in  21.5in) with large margins, perfect for mounting and framing. Excellent condition with several folds as issued with some expected surface splits on those folds. The reverse has been strengthened with Japanese Rice paper.
