A fine example of this scarce very large original antique folding map by Benjamin Rees Davies. Stretching, in the north from CRICKLEWOOD through KENTISH TOWN, FINSBURY, HACKNEY across to LEYTONSTONE. In the south from BARNES through CHELSEA, BATTERSEA, LAMBETH, SOUTHWARK, NEW CROSS over to BLACKHEATH. Exceptional detail throughout and with a Scale & explanation of symbols and lists of Metropolitan boroughs, etc, in the bottom margin of the map. Dissected into 21 sections and laid to linen & folding into label titled binding. (Howgego 410).

Overall size 95cm x 67cm. Condition is generally good with some mild age toning along some of the folds.
