1839 A fine & rare original antique map titled "SLATER'S NEW MAP OF THE ENVIRONS OF LONDON Extending 14 Miles Round St Pauls in Every Direction" by James Pigot and published by I Slater, London & Manchester.
An excellent example of Pigot's circular Plan with the Railways added. The map shows the old county boundaries of Hertfordshire, Essex, Kent, Surrey & Middlesex and extending from Cheshunt to Coulsden and from Hayes to Upminster Embellished with vignettes of St Paul's and the Custom house at the bottom left & right and with original out line hand colouring.
Overall in excellent condition and measuring approx. 47cm x 51cm with original hand colouring and good to large margins, perfect for mounting and framing. Folds as issued. Very minor repaired tear on upper left side.
