1778 - ' View of a Turkish Mosque on the River of Peneus, with a Different Prospect of the City of Larissa '
A Turkish mosque with the city of Larissa to the right, located on the Salembria River, known as Peneus River.  Camels are seen on the far shore, one is drinking.  There is also a cow in the foreground.
A fine antique copper engraving taken from 'The Complete System of Geography Being a Description of All the Countries, Islands, Cities, Chief Towns, Harbours....of the Known World' by Charles Theodore Middleton.
CONDITION: Original copper engraved print in excellent condition with large margins, perfect and ready for mounting and framing.
SIZE: Overall size including margins approximately 34cm x 22cm.
