A fine antique copper engraved map.

Approximate overall size is 36cm x 30cm including the margins.

Excellent condition with folds as issued and hand coloured.
This map is taken from the 'Atlas Novissimo del Sigr. Gugielmo de L'Isle' and Giambattista Albrizzi (1698-1777 was the cartographer. Albrizzi was a publisher, patron, collector and one of the great figures of eighteenth-century Venetian intellectual and cultural life. Although Venice had been the centre of the European map trade during the sixteenth century, its importance was greatly diminished in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries as Dutch and German publishers became increasingly dominant.
