A very attractive early 17th Century Map of Flintshire (Welsh Sir y Fflint), which was based on the first survey of the county by Christopher saxton and engraved by William Kip for William Camden's BRITANNIA (London: 1607-1637). As well as still being the earliest printed map of Flintshire, it is also the first detailed one dedicated solely to the county. Blank on verso.

Overall size 35.5cm x 30cm with early hand colouring and will look fantastic once mounted and framed. Excellent condition. Central fold as issued.
